Elizabeth (Liz) Wise joined SESYNC as a Business Coordinator shortly after the Center’s grand opening in 2012. Due to her knowledge and experience, she rose within the ranks to Assistant Director of Finance and Administration and has served as SESYNC’s Director of Administrative Services since 2019. Under the direction of Margaret Palmer, she oversees all administrative functions within the Center including finance, human resources, and travel.

Liz began her career at the University of Maryland College Park in 2002, just after graduating with her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Her initial role as a Finance Assistant within a department under the University’s College of Behavioral and Social Sciences quickly evolved into additional positions holding greater responsibilities. In 2023, she earned her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus.

Over the years, Liz has served on several University administrative modernization focus panels. She also serves as a board member holding the role of Secretary/Treasurer within her homeowner's association and is a Maryland Notary Public.
