This workshop focused on environmental history. Over the course of two days, Dr. Sam White, Ohio State University, will present a lecture providing the background to the emerging interdisciplinary field of environmental history and climate history. This lecture will be live streamed and recorded (see link below). Dr. White will also discuss methods and standards in the field, and applications of this field in discussions with Immersion Program participants. Dr. White will also give a SESYNC seminar on Tuesday, October 25, "A Cold Welcome: The Little Ice Age and America's Colonial Beginnings." This seminar will also be live streamed and recorded (see link below).
